Rhythm Poetry

field_strapline['und'][0]['value'];?>

Rhythms are essential parts of our lives. We use rhythms when we walk, talk, eat, breathe or play with friends. This mobile application (Android) notates the rhythm you create by tapping, singing, talking or drumming. The words create a poetic notation mirroring the rhythm you proposed. You may write several layers by tapping different rhythms. You may erase by tapping and you may playback the rhythm or the spoken words that you created. This is a first step in our exploration of using rhythm as an interactive material to traverse the boundary that we normally call body.

This project has been exhibited at The DIgital Arts Center – DAC
